EZWaste EZTilt The EZWaste EZTilt was developed during 2008 in response to an increased demand for a built-in multiple bin waste unit, that offers easy hands free access, effectively utilizes the available space in the kitchen cupboard, without requiring intrusion through the kitchen work top. While one or two of these aspects are provided by most available products, there is no other product that provides all four requirements. The EZTilt offers from two to six bins in cupboards ranging from 300mm to 600mm. The bins are on two rows of drawers on telescopic drawers – one at the top and one at the bottom and are supplied in various colours to enable easy recognition for different types of waste. Access to the top bins is gained through a mechanism that tilts the cupboard door outward while simultaneously pulling the top bin out of the cupboard. The mechanism in some models are operated by depressing a pedal and in others by activating an electronic mechanism. The EZTilt makes effective use of the available space through having bins that take up as much as 85% of available cupboard space. Access to the lower bins is gained through opening the cupboard door laterally and pulling the lower drawer out on a handle which is exposed when the door is opened. The top bins can also be accessed in this manner, which enables the easy clearing of individual bins as required. The ideal configuration for the EZTilt in the kitchen is to place it in the center of the food preparation area, where unwanted items can just be swept of the chopping board into the bins without having to walk around with waste in the kitchen. The EZTilt enables the separation of waste with minimal additional effort and is certainly conducive to encourage consumers to separate and recycle household waste.
